Tour de Georgia Returns to Dahlonega!

For the 3rd year in a row, Dahlonega will be a "Finish Line City" for the Tour de Georgia! On April 22nd this world-class, professional cycling stage race will roll into the Historic Square of Dahlonega ending what many consider to be the most exciting stage of the entire race!

Plus, Bear On The Square... ...all on the same weekend! April 21 - 23.

All the action will be on the Historic Dahlonega Square as
Bear on the Square kicks off our festival season!

It all began back in 1996 when a small bear cub wandered into the heart of Dahlonega and perched itself in a Sycamore tree on the Historic Square. After a prolonged effort, the bear was eventually rescued but not before creating quite a stir in the community and we've been celebrating the event ever since! Celebrating its 10th year, the festival will feature bluegrass and old-time music, authentic mountain crafts, storytelling, dancing, children’s events, non-stop jamming, concerts, workshops and a country auction featuring folk art and gift items from Dahlonega’s merchants.
