Summer in the Mountains...
There really is no bad time of the year here in
the Mountains of Georgia. Each season has
special gifts that we await each and every year.
These "dog days" of summer give us cool
mornings that warm slowly to enjoyable
afternoons best spent under the shade of a tree
or at the foot of a waterfall. The higher
elevation keeps the air dry, temperatures
comfortable and a light breeze blowing. As
twilight drifts into darkness, the woods come alive with the rhythmic
songs of katydids and cicadas punctuated by the call of toads, frogs and
perhaps the splash of fish in our pond. We can honestly say we are
blessed, and even more so that we can share these gifts with so many
others.

Last chance to get away....
School is almost back in session so time is running out for that final (or first)
summer getaway. We have some great family cabins available with lofts for the kids and a beautiful deck
overlooking the pond for Mom and Dad. We're right in the middle of everything in Dahlonega so whether it's
horseback riding, a day trip on the Appalachian Trail, touring historical gold mines or just
enjoying the last few weeks of summer vacation, there's always lots to see and do before the summer gets
away!
