SNOW!? Yes, we received a bit of the white stuff a couple of weeks ago and a little bit more last night! Snow is always a big deal around here and this year it came early with about an inch accumulation, but was gone as soon as it stopped. Up here in Dahlonega, we welcome a nice blanket of snow occasionally (it's the ice we can do without!) and hopefully this was a preview of a beautiful winter to come.

Old Fashioned Christmas in Dahlonega
A beautiful Holiday season is underway in Dahlonega with our annual Old Fashioned Christmas Celebration. The square is lit up with lights and decorated with traditional holly and greenery. Fireside music and stories at the library and visits from Santa Claus will be happening as well as other events to celebrate the season. Of course you'll find some of the most unique gifts in a relaxed atmosphere (i.e. not the Mall!) among the stores on the Historic Square. Burt's Pumpkin Farm will also be holding their annual Appalachian Christmas with hayrides and a Christmas light display with over 500,000 lights and animated scenes.
