Great Holiday Events for the Whole Family!

Whether it's "just the two of you" or a complete "family outing" there are some very unique holiday events going on throughout North Georgia. For Mom and Dad, Wolf Creek Vineyards will be hosting a special wine tasting tour and includes a special presentation by The March Sisters as they perform holiday scenes from Louisa M. Alcott's classic LITTLE WOMEN. Enjoy holiday hors d'oeuvres amidst the hustle and bustle of an 1860's holiday setting. For advance reservations, call 706-867-9862.

The Holly Theater features two excellent productions for the "Holly"-days! The classic "A Christmas Carol" as written by Charles Dickens makes its traditional return to the Holly stage, plus a unique play written by Tim Quigly which tells the story of how the butler and maid of the Dickens family assisted Charles in the writing of "A Christmas Carol". A bit of the new to go with the old and neither to be missed! December 5, 6, 7, 11, 12 & 13th.

Our local State Parks will be hosting events perfect for families looking for a holiday festivities. Unicoi State Park will "Deck the Halls" on Dec. 6th with ornament and Holiday nature crafts plus hayrides and evening concerts in their beautifully decorated lodge.
Amicalola Falls State Park will also be hosting their own Holiday event with a "Holiday Open House". Santa and Mrs. Claus will be there with many local choirs and a special performance by Vintage Vocals. Hayrides, beautiful gingerbread house displays and artwork by local school children will be on display. The Maple Restaurant will be serving a special holiday buffet at reduced prices.

December 1-31: Dahlonega's Old Fashion Christmas Celebration - The month long Old Fashioned Christmas Celebration begins on the first weekend in December! A magical lighting of the public square on the first Friday evening and continues on Saturday. Shoppers are entertained with caroling, hospitality tables, a parade and the arrival of Old St. Nick "gold rush style" in a horse drawn wagon. Leave the hustle and bustle of crowded malls and enjoy shopping once again as the celebration and decorations continue throughout the month. December 7: Little Women Christmas at Wolf Mountain - Get in the holiday spirit with a wine tasting tour of WOLF MOUNTIAN VINEYARDS AND WINERY. Meet the March sisters as they perform holiday scenes from Louisa M. Alcott's classic LITTLE WOMEN. Enjoy holiday hors d'oeuvres amidst the hustle and bustle of an 1860's holiday setting. December 6-7: Mountain Country Christmas Tour of Homes - Self-driving tour several beautifully decorated homes in the enchanted mountains and valleys of Hiawassee and Young Harris.
