The Historic Town Square is decorated and will soon be aglow with
thousands of lights!
Our Old Fashioned Christmas begins on December 4th with a huge celebration!
We'll begin with the
"Fourth Annual Dahlonega by Candlelight" celebration
with luminaries surrounding the square, a merchant's open house, the official
Lighting of the Historic Square and much, much more! The Holiday season is full of unique and enchanting

Santa's Reindeer Come To Dahlonega!

During our
"Old Fashioned Christmas" kickoff on December 4th, Santa's reindeer will stop by before
their long night's work on Christmas Eve. This will be a great opportunity for the kids to see eight live reindeer up close!
Look for them just off the square by the Holly Theater. So how red is Rudolf's nose?
And Clydesdales too!
It's sure to be a unique treat when the world famous Budweiser Clydesdales come to the
Historic Square in Dahlonega, December 8th, 10th and 11th. See the team up close and watch as these powerful animals pull their heavy
load into the Historic Dahlonega Square on the 11th!
The Holly
Theater will feature the play, "1940's Radio Hour". Set in a radio hall on Christmas Eve, 1942, this
show is a hodge-podge of quaint characters you will delight in meeting and an assortment of musical favorites that

Our local State Park, Amicalola Falls, will be hosting
a
Christmas Open House, December 10th, with choir performances, hayrides, artwork by local children and gingerbread displays. A holiday
buffet will be served in the park's restaurant and even Santa will come by to visit!

Dahlonega's Old Fashioned Christmas -
One of the Southeast Tourism Society's Top 20 Events for December! The month long Old Fashioned Christmas Celebration
begins on the first weekend in December. Festivities will include "Dahlonega by Candlelight" on
the public square on the first Friday evening and continue with the Christmas parade and lighting of the town on the
first Saturday. Shoppers are entertained with caroling, hospitality tables, and activities through the weekend before
Christmas. Leave the hustle and bustle of crowded malls and enjoy shopping once again as the celebration and decorations
continue throughout the month.

A Winemaker Dinner is an intimate night of luxurious food and wine with the Frogtown winemakers. This event has limited
seating and includes an exclusive tour of the Frogtown winery including barrel tastings and many olfactory food and
