January 4: Old Christmas Day at the Folkways Center - 6:45 pm to 9:00 pm, The Dahlonega Mountain Music and Medicine Show celebrates Old Christmas Day, or 12th Night, in a live two-hour radio variety show featuring music, singing, storytelling and folklore of the Georgia Mountains. January 11, 18, 25: Old Christmas Day at the Folkways Center - The Vickery House continues the holiday spirit throughout the month of January with A Little Women Christmas. Tour this beautiful pre-Civil War era home as it comes to life in 1860's style with the aid of the March sisters' vivid personalities as they portray holiday scenes from Louisa M. Alcott's classic. Performance times are 2:00, 2:45, 3:30 and 4:15 pm. Tickets are $6.00 per person and are available at the Welcome Center. For information call 706-864-3711.
