flies! We

 The Second Annual Dahlonega Literary
Festival!
Join us for this great event featuring
approximately 50 authors hosting book signings and sales,
readings, workshops, and seminars throughout the Dahlonega
historic town square within the warmth of local businesses,
February 18th-20th. A host of Georgia Authors including
Pulitzer Prize winners will be on hand to discuss thier works.

A Cultural Gem in Dahlonega!
The Dahlonega Arts Council is a
relatively new addition to the cultural "scene" here in our
neck of the woods. The DAC will host a number of events
throughout the year which are featured on their Web site: www.DahlonegaArts.org. There you can
find out more about events, classes, seminars and their new
gallery at the historic Olde Cannery Arts Center. Enjoy!

Wilderness Survival Sampling at Amicalola
State Park - Join experienced woodsmen as
they demonstrate wilderness survival skills such as fire
builidng, shelter construction and locating water.
Topics include primitive hunting, fishing, edible and
medicinal plants, orienteering, lost prevention, and
search and rescue resources. Register in advance. $50

| February 18-20th: 2nd Annual Dahlonega Literary Festival -

nominees. In addition to book signings and sales,
reading, seminars, and workshops, there will be a
Scholastic Book Fair for the kids with Clifford the Big
Red Dog, a dinner theatre/kick-off party with the
authors by the local historic Holly Theatre, brunches
with the White Rabbit and Alice in Wonderland, an
antiquarian book sale, a library book sale, free book
appraisals, a song-writing and reading extravaganza, a
literary themed art show, story drama classes for
children, and more!
