Georgia Wine Country Festival

Make plans to attend
The Georgia Wine Country Festival June 7 & 8, 2003 from 11AM-6PM on the grounds
of Three Sister's Vineyards. Gourmet Food, fine wine, folk art, farm exhibits, a "Kid's Area" and
live music come together for a two day celebration of Georgia's New Wine Country. You'll enjoy samples
of various wines from Georgia and other wine regions of the U.S. like King Estate Winery of Eugene,
Oregon. Plus a variety of Georgia Cheeses from
Sweet Grass Dairy of Thomasville, Georgia to provide the perfect compliment. Gourmet Chefs from
Nacoochee Grill, Pazzo Pizzaria, Renee's Cafe
and
Turner's Corner Cafe will provide "purchase by the plate" delights, and for the kids special
farm exhibits with animals will be available and
Babyland General (of Cabbage Patch fame) will be on
hand! Admission is $20 for "winelovers" (21 and older) and $10 for designated drivers and those under
21. Children 12 and under are FREE! Admission includes ALL activities and wine samples and even a
complimentary wine glass. Proceeds benefit the Rainbow Children's Home of Northeast Georgia.

This may not be the "Old West" but we do have a Ranch! R-Ranch straps on the spurs each year to hold the
annual Mountain Top Rodeo! Events will include: Bareback Bronc Riding, Saddle Bronc Riding, Steer
Wrestling, Ladies Barrel Racing, Calf Roping, Team Calf Roping, Bull Riding and a Kid's Calf Scramble!
Plus fun for the whole family with rock wall climbing, a petting zoo, pony rides and much more! Plenty of

What's The D.I.F.F.?
It's the Dahlonega International Film Festival, June 26-29th! This has been a great
addition to Dahlonega's evergrowing cultural community! Held each year at our own historic Holly
Theatre, DIFF brings together unique films from talented artists whom you might not see anywhere else.
(at least not yet!) A variety of genre's from Animation to Documentary are featured in selected
venues offering a completely unique film going experience. Not to be missed!!

Don't Forget 4th of July!
It's almost time for everyone to congregate on the Owen Drill field at North Georgia College and State University for the best fireworks display in North Georgia! The day will be filled with arts & crafts, food, music and fun while the night will be lit up by spectacular fireworks. Voted one of the top 20 events in the Southeast! This is a popular event!
