Getting Ready for Spring!
We're just starting to see the end of winter here in the North Georgia Mountains and looking forward to spring! We've had beautiful days in the middle 60's interspersed with some much needed rain. We've already seen the Daffodils blooming, and soon buds will start appearing on the Dogwood trees. Before you know it, we'll be back in the green of spring!

A Great Place to Meet
The Lodge at Cavender Creek Cabins is a unique place that compliments our equally unique cabins. Built in 1996 it serves as a meeting place for many of the large groups that visit us. Our son, Brian, did the finishing work himself and his attention to detail is apparent. The exterior pillars and railings are made from hand carved cedar and you can watch the sun set from the expansive front deck. Inside, you're greeted by a walnut and cherry inlay design in the hardwood floor. The large fireplace was hand built by the entire Hanson family using stone from the hill behind where the lodge stands now. Along with an antique billiard table, there's chess, checkers and other games available. The Lodge can be furnished for any need and is a perfect place for business meetings, family reunions, wedding receptions or any large group. We can even arrange catering service.
