Dahlonega makes Fall "official" with Autumnfest, Sept. 20 & 21! A celebration of the fall season centered around the Historic Town Square of Dahlonega, which is decorated with natural materials, and features a host of events reminiscent of a time gone by! Festival highlights include great food, blue ribbon pie contest, cake walk, Bluegrass jam session, Gospel music, scarecrow auction, farmer's market, demonstrations of bygone skills, wagon rides with story tour, 1862 dancing in period attire, old farm equipment demonstrations, and merchants' tag sale. An event not to miss!

September 11-13: Dahlonega Bluegrass & Folkways Festival - Hear a great line-up of bluegrass and old-time musicians, including Valerie Smith and Liberty Pike and Ginny Hawker and Tracy Schwarz, along with favorites from Doc Johnson's Traveling Miracle Medicine Show. September 20-21: Clermont Days 2003 - Second annual event celebrating 90 years of being a charted town. There will be lots of fun with a parade,two stages with gospel,country,bluegrass music,and cloggers plus great food, arts & crafts, and a car show. Stay till the end and wrap it all up with a street dance and fireworks show.

September 27: St.Paul the Apostle 15th Annual Fall Festival - St.Paul the Apostle will be hosting the 15th annual fall festival. It will be a day filled with crafts, entertainment, games, good food and great fun. Vendors and consumers are invited to come and enjoy the day!
September 28: 6-Gap Century & 3-Gap Fifty Bike Ride - The Dahlonega/Lumpkin County Chamber of Commerce and the Bicycle Association of North Georgia (BANG)are proud to sponsor the 15th Annual Six Gap Century and Three Gap Fifty Bike Ride through the North Georgia Mountains. The Six Gap Century ride is 100 miles with over 10,700 feet of vertical climbing. The toughest climb is Hogpen Gap, averaging a 7% incline for 7 miles, with sections as steep as 15%. The Three Gap Fifty alternative offers half the gaps and half the distance, but is plenty challenging, as well. Mass start at 7:30 AM at North Georgia College & State University in Dahlonega.
